چکیده
This article addresses advances in the management of branch retinal vein occlusion - a common retinal vascular disorder in elderly patients which is a significant cause of ocular morbidity. New intravitreal therapies have improved the prognosis for patients, albeit with significant cost implications.

Evaluation of Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Findings in Patients with Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion
Purpose: To analyze the correlation of optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) findings with visual acuity (VA) in patients with branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO). Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 20 eyes of 20 patients with unilateral BRVO involving the macula referred to the ophthalmology clinic of Rassoul Akram Hospital. OCTA imaging was conducted for all patie...

Retinal vein occlusion is one of the vascular disorders affecting vision. Branch retinal vein occlusion and central retinal vein occlusion are the two basic types of vein occlusion. Branch retinal vein occlusion is three times more common than central retinal vein occlusion and is second only to diabetic retinopathy as the most common retinal vascular cause of visual impairment. The origin of b...

Introduction: The study aimed to evaluate the long-term effects of intravitreal bevacizumab on macular edema and visual acuity in patients with Acute branch Retinal Vein Occlusion (BRVO) that had not received any treatment. Methods: 22 patients in first week of BRVO onset that was diagnosed with flurcein angiography were treated with intravitreal injection of 1.25 mg bevacizumab. Macular thicke...

متن کاملRole of Transthoracic Echocardiography in the Evaluation of Patients with Retinal Vein Occlusion
Introduction: Retinal vein occlusion is a common vascular disorder disrupting vision. Two basic types of RVO are branch retinal vein occlusion and central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Retinal vein occlusion is a multifactor process including systemic illness and local retinal factors.RVO may be associated with atherosclerotic risk factors. We analyzed the role of 2 dimensional transthor...

There are two forms of retinal vein occlusion, branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) and central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). While there are similarities in the pathogenesis and clinical nature of these two events...
